To link with the conventions of coming of age we will try to include a children's park when we create the background of the life of the disadvantaged character to symbolise the struggles of growing up, and also it will be slightly vandalised to symbolise the idea that her childhood has been taken from her.
Another key theme we identified from the moodboard research is the idea of lack of space as representing being reified and reduced to a number.
We could use some long shots of lots of flats such as the photo in the top left to represent the idea that the character feels valueless.
Disadvantaged background is also often associated with many of the conventions of crime such as substance abuse and anti-social behaviour so this will provide a strong link between our initial genre of social realism/coming and our revised genre of crime
